ALWAYS THERE
When I was done
running,
the lights of the park
were
beautiful.
Beyond the lights--
and beyond the park--
far, far away,
was Sayville.
It's streetlights
were glowing,
but I
was not there.
But Sayville would always be
waiting there
for me.
Even if I
became crippled and blind
and could no longer
get to it,
Sayville would still be
waiting for me.
It would wait for me.
forever--
as would God.
And both would consider it to be
no problem.
Their arms
will always
be open.
